Unearthed Stories Keeps Growing!

Elusive Pathways are Here!

Unearthed Stories is an ever-growing library of interactive fiction, and after our release on iOS, we focused fully on releasing new content! This time, the update is titled Elusive Pathways and it brings on two stories themed around escaping.

Something interesting of this update is that the stories bring two new mechanics that are not commonly used in text-based interactive fiction:

• There are two PoVs,
• which may or may not narrate the same thing (e.g., they alternate or overlap), and
• the reader controls one PoV only (henceforth, the controlled PoV).

Additionally, one of the stories, Means of Egress breaks the fourth wall and–and different points–the reader/player can be expelled from the story and sent into the “real world” by a character within the game.

Other Updates

Before Elusive Pathways, Unearthed Stories grew twice during 2023, bringing new themes updates. First, Cats Take Over, in which we expanded the world of Deli’rae to bring in cozy fantasy stories. Second, and closer to the end of the year, Gift Season arrived to bring jollyness to Deli’rae. These stories remain available in Unearthed Stories!

Moving Forward

We have quite a few plans for this year and the following, and we can’t wait to share it with you! But don’t worry, as we move forwards, we will continue to unearth stories.
